Threshold Wheelchair Ramp
The Angled Entry Ramp is a free standing threshold ramp solution made of high strength aluminum that can be set up quickly to allow smooth ground-to-sill transitions into and out of the main doorways of a home for people on wheelchairs, scooters or any other types of mobility wheels. Ideal for entryways that are under 3″ in rise, with doors that swing in and out, uneven surfaces, or single step rises. These aluminum threshold ramps feature an extruded slip-resistant tread for superior traction. For entryways into a home that are multiple steps high, measured from the street ground level to the main floor level of a home, a residential wheelchair camp may more ideal.
Rubber ramps are also available. Both come in a variety of widths to match most any door entryway.
Threshold Ramp Overview
Threshold ramps, either metal or rubber, are available prefabricated by a manufacturer. A wheelchair threshold ramp should be used for thresholds that are less than 3 inches high. It’s important to make certain that the width of a threshold ramp, matches the width of the door, edge to edge, to avoid the wheels from a wheelchair from dropping off or snagging on the edge.
