Euro Style Barrier Free Shower Conversion in Centennial, CO
This Euro Style Shower conversion in Aurora, CO was a request to make the bathroom handicap accessible. After a fall in the home, the client was in a rehab center and needed to make the bathroom open and usable for a rolling shower chair. We removed the tub and installed a onyx marblecast shower bast designed to fit the size of the tub with the drain in the middle. This allows the shower to be the lowest spot in the room and the base is a flat as possible while still draining correctly. The corner shelf are a good way to get storage without causing a barrier or obstacle. By tiling the floor and widening the door, we integrated this shower into the bathroom and made the usable space much bigger.
Handicap Shower Conversion in Castle Rock, CO
This bathroom was tight with a large vanity and a small tub. The client was coming home using a wheelchair for the first time, and we were challenged with how to use the space without moving walls. This home was a condo we had a tight budget to accomplish this remodel. We installed a solid surface no step shower base with new tile shower and handheld shower head, and a new tile floor, as well as a taller toilet, and a custom accessible vanity and sink. The countertop was a solid surface top with a built in sink that has a shallow bowl. This way, the shallow depth of the sink bowl combined with the custom vanity make the maximum knee and chair space possible.

Curbless Shower Tub Conversion for a Handicap Shower in Parker, CO
In this Curbless Handicap Shower, the bathroom and bath tub were very small and our client needed room to roll a wheelchair into the bathroom, past the sink and toilet to the shower. In a Curbless Shower, the shower needs to be the lowest spot in the bathroom. In this way the water cannot escape outside the shower. Also, because the curbless, or roll in shower, is flush with the floor of the rest of the bathroom, the shower base can be larger and closer to the toilet. Normally, a shower base cannot be closer than 8 inches to the toilet, but a curbless shower, or roll in shower can be within 4 inches of the toilet. The existing tub was 30 inches wide, but the walls of the tub took 6 inches on the front wall and 2 inches of the back wall, so there were only 22 inches of space inside the tub. This roll in shower base is 36 inches wide, which provides 14 more inches of space. Because of this space and the fact that a wheelchair can turn around on the tile bathroom floor and the shower, make this bathroom much larger and accessible for a handicap shower.
